Wilderness Pack Trip Package
(Up to 8 Guests)
The first 2 weeks in October is the perfect time to enjoy the wilderness! Montana allows a resting period between Archery and Rifle Seasons, there will be no hunting in the area during this time. As well as assuring safety, the weather is historically mild. Photographers and “relaxers” alike will find delight in experiencing untainted wildlife, wonderful vistas of high mountain meadows and fascinating peaks with crisp mountain streams.
An experienced guide will take you on Day Rides from Camp that would otherwise be inaccessible in a day’s time. From our historic camp we can take you even deeper into the Backcountry!
Wilderness Photography Hunts
Although hunting season is at a standstill, the wildlife isn’t! Elk, Deer, Moose, and Mountain Goats are featured in this area as well as stunning scenery!

Below is one couples’ experience with us on a Wilderness Pack Trip:
Dear Kurt and Rebecca,
Valerie and I want to thank you, and your crew, for such an incredible journey into the Montana Wilderness during our pack trip with you last fall. We did not know what to expect since we had never been on one before, well…we were amazed!
From the string of Mules so carefully and precisely packed, the peaceful, beautiful ride to camp, the incredibly scenic camp site with plenty of great food, to the rugged yet very comfortable accommodations. Oh and let’s not forget the best outhouse in Montana, as well as the ingenious, and much appreciated, heated shower!
Surrounded by the best nature has to offer, a Moose that the horses let us know was standing at the edge of camp studying us, the incredible night sky and our friend’s loud snoring that keep everyone in camp safe and awake all night.
Though you all are fortunate to take these rides frequently, for us, the rides from camp were breath taking and at the same time stirring of the imagination. Is this what the first settlers saw when they came west? What were they thinking?
Well, as you can see, we had an incredible time, one that we won’t soon forget and one that we are looking forward to repeating with you all!! Thank you, again, for doing such a wonderful, professional job as well as helping to create such great memories.
Sincerely,
Lee & Valerie Stack
