We offer quality Elk Hunting Guides for
your service. They are experienced hunters and outdoorsman who take
pride in showing fellow hunters the Thrill of the Chase in their
much loved country. They are chosen to guide with us not only
because they exhibit superb ethics in hunting and in their daily
lives, but they also have the intense passion and inherent knowledge
to guide people of like ambitions. Gratuity is not included in the
rates, but is much appreciated by your guide, cook and camp tender.
10%-15% of the cost of your hunt is normally recommended as a
gratuity. We are happy to answer any questions regarding gratuity.

Kurt Puckett is the Owner/Outfitter (MT License #11224) of Sage Peak Outfitters, LLC and has been in the area since 1996. Dennis Alverson (left) is the Owner/Outfitter (MT License #5053) of Montana Hunting &
Fishing, LLC and has been involved with MontanaElkHunting.com’since
1986. He loves spending his summers guiding Fly Fishermen on the

Jeremiah Stephan (right) started guiding elk hunts in New Mexico. He exudes comfort in
the outdoors and confidence in his tracking abilities and wildlife
senses. His experience in archery elk hunting, taking pack trips, and
chasing mountain lions compliments his horsemanship skills. From
starting colts to finishing them, his professionalism in the field has

Troy
Cowles (right) has been guiding hunting and flyfishing since 1985.
He spends the better part of the year guiding in Idaho, Alaska, Chile
and Montana. Operating his own camp in Chile, he knows what it takes to
make a trip successful and he is passionate about showing his hunting
the thrill of the hunt. |

Gary
Knapp has made a profession out of knowing elk. Working as a
wildlife biologist for the states of New Mexico, Arizona, Idaho,
Washington and Canada. From tagging grizzly bears, sheep behavioral
research, and population surveys of spotted owls. Having taken many elk
with a bow from New Mexico, Idaho and Washington he has managed to keep
his priorities straight. Gary's quick wit and humor compliment his
bugling skills as a guide not only in Montana but Alaska as well. |

Ben Van Alstine (right) is a 4th
generation Montana native and has spent his life as an outdoorsman and
hunting enthusiast. He guides moose and bear hunts in Alaska as well as
elk and deer hunts here in Montana. Ben’s passion for hunting and his

Trent Lister (right) was born and
raised in Montana. He is a passionate and talented outdoorsman, which
shows in his professional guiding experiences. His desire for wilderness
makes hunters feel comfortable and confident during the chase. He takes
pleasure in formulating strategies for the hunt and he is willing to do
anything in his power to get into elk. |

David Tuttle (right) has been a hunter for over 20 years. This former Marine is an
avid outdoorsman and craves life in the backcountry, therefore, he has
the know-how to interpret the wilderness. His discipline, dedication,
and considerate nature create the formula for a first-rate guide. |

Scott Teaschner owned his first BB
gun at age five. Since before this, a day doesn’t go by when
hunting/outdoors is not a part of his life. His love for the west, for
horses and an inherent do-it-yourself nature led Scott to backcountry
hunting in MT and WY. His past success in bow and rifle seasons exhibits
his knowhow to aid in his hunters’ success. Scott’s love for the
critters he chases and his natural artistic ability fuels his passion
for producing exceptional taxidermy. So, he and wife, Tara, own/operate
Wyoming Wildlife Artistry in Cody, WY. Scott is a very well rounded
guide and an asset to our operation |

Vincent Stoltzfus was raised on a
cattle ranch in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. His passion for the
outdoors led him to be an avid hunter and fisherman where he soon became
experienced in the wilderness along with elk hunting and horsemanship
skills. His hard work, motivation and easy going attitude would make for
an enjoyable hunt for anyone. |
