In 1925, Vic Benson, Sr. founded the Covered Wagon Ranch, an establishment that has been operating as a small guest ranch since Vic started it. He also established Covered Wagon Outfitters in 1927. His camp has operated in the same exact location since. Kurt and Rebecca Puckett are the third owners of Covered Wagon Outfitters since the business left the Benson Family. Managing the Covered Wagon Ranch year round, Kurt and Rebecca are abundantly familiar with the country in which you will hunt.

As hunting enthusiasts themselves, Kurt and Rebecca are dedicated to offering memorable rifle and bow hunts through their passion for hunting and respect for wildlife and the outdoors. They are fascinated by the “good old days” and are committed to share a full wilderness experience to their hunters.

Covered Wagon Outfitters’ is proud to use Covered Wagon Ranch’s very capable horse and mule string that are used during summer ranch business. They are healthy, fit animals who accommodate riders at any horsemanship level.

Dennis Alverson has been with Covered Wagon Outfitters for over 15 years, owning the business for 6 years. Native to Montana, he is a knowledgeable resource and will guarantee a quality hunt. He has since ventured to start a family and continues to offer Trophy Mule Deer/Antelope hunts on privately owned land as well as unforgettable fishing trips. He is still passionate for elk hunting and still guides bow season for Covered Wagon Outfitters.
